Web site to help green efforts in Monroe County

Rochester Business Journal

Monroe County has launched a Web site that will help residents save money on energy bills and put them in touch with experts who can assist with home energy needs, county officials announced Wednesday.

The Web site, GreenMonroe.org, was developed in partnership with Webster-based Blue Springs Energy LLC, which helps communities participate in clean energy programs by accessing clean and renewable energy grants, incentives and credits, officials said.

“Blue Springs Energy is thrilled Monroe County is the first municipal government in New York to help its residents, businesses and not-for-profit organizations save money on their energy bills and help the environment,” company President Larry Simpson said in a statement.
