Mayor Robert Duffy and Rochester City School District Board President Malik Evans are scheduled to participate in an April 1 panel discussion of mayoral control of city schools, officials announced Wednesday.
The discussion, to be televised by WXXI, is at 8 p.m.
Duffy and Evans will take questions from panelists including WXXI-AM’s 1370 Connection host Bob Smith, WDKX Wake Up Club co-host Liz Medhin and City Newspaper education reporter Tim Louis Macaluso.
WXXI News Director Julie Philipp will moderate the discussion. Joseph Viteritti, chairman of the department of urban affairs and planning at Hunter College, will provide analysis.
